Sarata Management Team members have worked together on several successful projects. The team is cohesive, has leadership experience and a documented record for designing distributed systems, recruiting and building successful businesses. The team benefits from direct experience within the residential construction industry and its culture, along with broad industry relationships and an excellent reputation.

Founders

As President, Terry Turner brings to Sarata his experience in visualizing, starting and managing technology based trading businesses. He has extensive experience recruiting full teams of systems, back office and front office professionals to build high growth businesses.  He has served as SVP and Treasurer of BankAmerica, Managing Director at Bankers Trust and SVP at First Union.  He has been a project engineer for Eastman Kodak and a Professor of Finance at the University of California, Berkeley.  Mr. Turner has a BS in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.

As VP Sales and Marketing, John Naftzger brings to Sarata an advertising background, as well as eight years of direct sales and marketing experience in the system built segment of the home construction industry.  He was Regional Sales Manager for Barden Homes and VP Sales and Marketing for Original Lincoln Log Ltd. He was also partner in the successful regional advertising agency, Naftzger & Kuhe.  Mr. Naftzger has a BA in English and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati.

As VP and Chief Technology Officer, Jim Rogers brings to Sarata extensive large-scale systems and application  development expertise.  Most recently he served as Chief Technology Officer at NetRisk, Managing Director for Capital Markets Technology at First Union, and VP for Development at Sanwa Financial Products as well as systems development work for TRW and Boeing.   Mr. Rogers has a BS in Computer Systems and an MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California.

As VP Development, Tom Hewitt brings to Sarata top-level, large-scale software engineering experience and extensive Internet development experience.  He has served as a Managing Director at NetRisk,  Vice President for Development at First Union, and a Senior Software Engineer at Boeing, IBM and Sprint.  Mr. Hewitt has a BS in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico.
